Genevieve Weber

Archivist

I am an archivist focusing on First Nations records and liaison, and outreach activities in the BC Archives. I first became interested in archives when I was working in records management in the UK. In my studies I focused on aboriginal archival and records management practices, and upon completion of my degree I moved to the Nass Valley to work with the Nisga’a nation.

I have since worked with the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nations, MOA (the Museum of Anthropology at UBC), and for the Government Records Service (the branch of the BC government responsible for records management). I am thrilled to be at the Royal BC Museum and Archives where I get the chance to meet and work with people from all over the province.
